Understanding Our New World | John Palfrey

John Palfrey, president of the MacArthur Foundation, will join the Institute on Monday, May 6th at 10:00 a.m. CT for our Understanding Our New World series via Zoom.

Mr. Palfrey will talk about his wide-ranging career and the important work of the MacArthur Foundation, including its commitment to supporting independent journalism.

 Barb Brown Memorial Fund Garden Party

Please join us for the annual garden party to honor the life and legacy of Barbara L. Brown, Ph.D.

All donations can be made online at BarbBrownMemorial.org or by check made out to the SIU Foundation with "Barb Brown Fund" in the note line. All proceeds go to the fund.

Proceeds of the fund will be used to continue the service and teaching legacy of Dr. Brown. The purpose and intent of the fund is to enrich the educational opportunities for students of Southern Illinois University Carbondale and promote the principle that public higher education shares a responsibility to encourage public service and serve the public good by addressing the challenges that confront our communities.
